PEO Summer Tea

(Photos and text from Barbara Odegaard)

Jan and her best friend, Cindy McIntyre, organized a summer tea for their PEO sisters. They held it at Cindy's house and the two of them did all the food and decorations. According to the ladies it was a tremendous success.  Barbara Odegaard's report stated

Dear Sisters...

Such an elegant Tea today hosted by Cindy McIntyre and Jan Littlefield!!!

It was total perfection and there were 16 of us.  The tables were set beautifully

and the place cards were adorable with the same tea set as used on the invitation;

Here our two wonderful hostesses were explaining the routine for the day!  After the first course of delicious finger sandwiches, tea and some nice conversation some of the ladies switched to a different table.

We all thoroughly enjoyed this event.  Thanks to Cindy and Jan for a sensational time for all of us.

It was so nice to see everyone...especially Katie Winefer, shown above with Kathy Parrish and René Dulaney

The place cards indicated the table number where we were each to start for the first course.  Here Barbara was seated at Table 1 with Carolyne Reed and Marian Mosher

Patsy Rickards served tea to all at this table.  That was very nice.

At Table 2 was Kathy Ramert, Joan Peyton, Carol Dawson and Jan Levin. Jan was able to fill in for Sara Dent who had to cancel out that morning.  Jan just returned from Europe late the night before after a traumatic trip with a sick husband.

Also at Table 2 were Mary Bian, Cindy McIntyre, Jean Farmer and Ruth Mercer. Course #2 was scrumptious scones with lemon curd, cream and raspberry jam.  Yummy!!! came the dessert tray but they had to stop first to honor the Birthday Girl, Jan Levin.  They sang to her and then eagerly attacked the dessert selections.  They were fabulous!  With each course they switched tables so that each person had the opportunity to visit with everyone.
